Overview

Our client is looking for a Xero Bookkeeper - UK Client (Transportation & Taxi Services) to take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function for a well-established UK-based transportation and taxi services business.

In this role, you will manage active financial operations by keeping Xero up to date, ensuring bank reconciliations are completed accurately, and processing incoming bills promptly. You will also prepare key financial reports that directly inform crucial business decisions, making your work genuinely impactful from day one. This remote position offers a stable, long-term part-time engagement with real opportunities to expand your responsibilities as you build rapport with the team.

Schedule:

- Part time - 20h per week- flexible within UK business hours

Responsibilities

- Manage bank reconciliations in Xero, ensuring all transactions are accurately matched and resolved
- Process incoming invoices and bills received via email and enter them into the accounting system
- Prepare and compile financial reports to support business decision-making
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records across all accounts
- Support general administrative tasks related to financial operations

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience with Xero accounting software , particularly bank reconciliation workflows
- Familiarity with UK accounting standards ,



including VAT returns and company returns
- Strong English communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice-to-have requirements

- Bonus if you have prior bookkeeping experience within the transportation, logistics, or fleet-based services industry
- It helps if you have experience supporting multiple entities or accounts simultaneously within Xero
- Bonus if you are familiar with UK payroll or have exposure to broader UK compliance requirements beyond VAT
