1. Patient Care & Clinical Nursing

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Monitor and record patients vital signs, clinical condition, and progress.
- Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed, following the Five Rights of medication administration.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as applicable.
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and rounds.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.

2. Infection Control & Patient Safety

- Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Follow patient safety standards, including patient identification and fall prevention measures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic patient environment.
- Report incidents, near misses, and adverse events as per hospital policy.

3. Documentation & Records Management

- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete nursing documentation in patient records.




- Ensure legal and ethical standards of clinical documentation.
- Record medication administration, nursing interventions, and patient responses.
- Participate in audits related to nursing documentation and care standards.

4. Patient & Family Education

- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and relatives.
- Promote health education and preventive care practices.

5. Equipment & Resource Management

- Ensure proper use, care, and availability of nursing equipment and supplies.
- Check functionality of medical equipment before use.
- Report equipment malfunctions or shortages promptly.

6. Teamwork & Professional Collaboration

- Work collaboratively with doctors, nursing colleagues, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Participate in handovers, ward rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Support orientation and training of new nursing staff and students.

7. Professional Development & Compliance

- Maintain valid nursing license/registration.
- Participate in continuous nursing education and training programs.
- Comply with hospital policies, ethical standards, and skilled codes of conduct.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and accreditation activities.

8. Administrative & Other Responsibilities

- Participate in shift planning and duty rosters as assigned.
- Follow hospital emergency preparedness and disaster management protocols.
- Perform any other nursing duties assigned by nursing leadership.
