Job Responsibilities

- Operate Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines for precision machining components.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.

- Set up jobs, tools, fixtures, and workpieces as per production requirements.

- Perform tool offsets, work offsets, and basic program corrections.

- Monitor machining operations and ensure dimensional accuracy.

- Inspect components using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

- Maintain production targets, quality standards, and machine safety.

- Identify machining defects and report machine or tooling issues to the supervisor.

- Maintain 5S and housekeeping on the shop floor.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience in VMC operation and CNC machining.

- Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T; basics, and cutting tools.

- Experience with Fanuc / Siemens controllers preferred.

- Knowledge of measuring instruments and in-process inspection.
