Role Description The Video Editor role at Pi Dot is a full-time hybrid position based in Hyderabad, with flexibility for partial work from home. In this role, the Video Editor will plan, edit, and produce video content aligned with Pi Dot’s branding and communication goals, including marketing campaigns, product explainers, educational content, and social media assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling raw footage, refining narratives, applying color correction, designing motion graphics, and integrating visual elements and audio to create engaging, high-quality outputs.

The Video

Editor will collaborate closely with creative, marketing, and product teams to translate concepts into compelling visual stories,



maintain organized project files, and ensure timely delivery of video projects. The role also involves staying updated on editing trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the visual impact and effectiveness of Pi Dot’s content.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling footage, structuring narratives, and delivering polished, platform-ready content.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and quality across different video projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create titles, lower thirds, transitions, and other visual elements that enhance storytelling.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing and motion tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) is beneficial.
- Strong visual storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and an understanding of pacing, composition, and sound integration are expected.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, manage deadlines, and work independently in a hybrid environment is required.
- Prior experience creating video content for marketing, education, technology, or startups is an advantage.
- A relevant degree or certification in film, media, design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
