At Virtual Building Studio, we are looking for an experienced BIM Architecture to lead architectural BIM operations for US-based projects. Were seeking a professional who brings firsthand US architectural practice experience, strong technical expertise, and the ability to mentor and develop India-based teams.

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

- Education: Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.).
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in architectural BIM and construction documentation.
- US Professional Experience: Must have physically worked in the United States within an architectural firm, design consultancy, or AEC organization and subsequently returned to India or be planning to return.
- Important: Experience delivering US projects remotely from India, including BIM modeling and documentation, does not meet the mandatory US professional experience requirement.
- US Architecture License: Not required.

We welcome professionals who have worked as BIM Architects, Architect Level III, Senior Architectural Designers, or in other senior architectural roles within a US architectural practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage architectural BIM projects for US-based clients, ensuring quality, productivity, and timely delivery.
- Oversee architectural modeling, detailing,



and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit.
- Guide teams in developing and reviewing deliverables across Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) stages.
- Apply practical knowledge of US building assemblies, architectural detailing, drawing conventions, and construction documentation standards.
- Ensure drawings communicate design intent accurately, with proper detailing, coordination, and constructability.
- Establish BIM Execution Plans (BEP), modeling standards, LOD requirements, and project-specific workflows.
- Manage QA/QC, model coordination, clash detection, and technical reviews using tools such as Navisworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop BIM Managers, Assistant Managers, Team Leads, BIM Coordinators, and BIM Modelers.
- Coordinate with US-based architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Transfer practical US architectural knowledge to India-based teams and drive continuous improvement in delivery quality and efficiency.

Required Technical Skills

- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and architectural BIM workflows.
- Strong understanding of US architectural practices detailing, building assemblies,



and construction documentation.
- Practical experience with DD and CD stages and architectural drawing coordination.
- Working knowledge of US building codes, project delivery standards, and client expectations.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and AutoCAD.
- Proven team leadership, project management, client communication, and problem-solving skills.
