About the Role

Young Edsplorer is looking for a Domestic Travel Operations Executive who can independently handle the planning, itinerary curation, costing, budgeting and operational execution of domestic travel programmes .

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian destinations, hotels, transportation and activities, along with the ability to create practical, cost-effective and well-structured itineraries for groups and customised travel programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Domestic Itinerary Planning

- Curate detailed domestic travel itineraries based on client requirements, duration, budget and travel objectives.
- Design day-wise itineraries covering destinations, sightseeing, activities, meals, transportation and accommodation.
- Recommend suitable destinations, hotels, experiences and activities based on the group's profile and budget.
- Ensure itineraries are operationally feasible, time-effective and commercially viable.

Costing & Budgeting

- Prepare accurate tour costing and budgets for domestic programmes.
- Calculate hotel, transportation, meals, activities, sightseeing, guide, entrance fees and other operational costs.
- Prepare package quotations and ensure appropriate margins are maintained.
- Compare vendor rates and negotiate for competitive pricing.
- Revise costing based on changes in group size, itinerary,



inclusions or client requirements.

Operations & Vendor Coordination

- Coordinate with hotels, transporters, activity providers, guides, restaurants and other local vendors.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate rates and confirm services.
- Ensure all bookings and services are aligned with the approved itinerary and budget.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth execution of confirmed programmes.
- Support pre-departure planning and on-ground operational requirements.

Documentation & Coordination

- Prepare detailed itineraries, costing sheets, quotations and operational documents.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, vendor confirmations and payment requirements.
- Ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Handle last-minute operational changes and resolve issues effectively.

Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who:
- Has 2–4 years of experience in domestic travel operations .
- Has hands-on experience in itinerary designing and tour costing .
- Has strong knowledge of Indian destinations and domestic travel circuits.
- Understands hotel categories, transportation, sightseeing and activity costing.
- Is comfortable working with Excel,



costing sheets and budgets .
- Has strong vendor negotiation and coordination skills.
- Can manage multiple itineraries and requirements simultaneously.
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Is detail-oriented, commercially aware and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

Experience in group travel or educational travel will be an added advantage.
