We are looking for an experienced Test Lead – Guidewire to lead testing activities for Guidewire releases, ensuring high-quality delivery across functional, integration, and end-to-end testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, along with proven experience in test planning, execution management, defect resolution, and release risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day testing activities for Guidewire releases, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and project objectives.
- Coordinate testing teams, allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of testing deliverables.
- Drive functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for Guidewire applications.
- Validate integrations through API testing and database validation to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
- Prepare and manage test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Perform test estimation, resource planning, execution tracking, and test coverage analysis.
- Manage defect lifecycle activities, including defect logging, prioritization, triage, retesting, and closure.
- Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
- Identify, assess, and communicate testing risks, dependencies,



and quality concerns to stakeholders.
- Prepare regular test status reports, quality metrics, and release readiness assessments.
- Support release sign-off by ensuring critical defects are addressed and exit criteria are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 8–10 years of experience in software testing, with relevant experience in a test leadership role.
- Robust knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
- Proven experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and database validation, including SQL queries.
- Strong understanding of test planning, estimation, execution management, and defect triage.
- Experience in test traceability, test coverage analysis, and defect lifecycle management.
- Ability to coordinate multiple testers and manage testing activities across releases.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using test management and defect tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Guidewire implementation, upgrades, or production releases.
- Familiarity with Guidewire integrations and insurance business processes.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, Postman, or similar testing platforms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and test automation concepts is an advantage.
