Purpose/Objective

The Lead Supply Planner is responsible for demand planning and forecasting, allocation and optimization of resources, inventory management, coordination with sales and production teams, and continuous improvement of supply planning processes to ensure timely and productive fulfillment of market demand.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Demand Planning and Forecasting: - Analyse demand data captured from sales to accurately forecast future requirements for different product types (OPC, premium cement, loose, and bagged cement).

- Utilize advanced forecasting tools to predict market demand and ensure optimal supply planning.

Allocation and Optimization: - Allocate demand to various plants based on capacity, proximity to markets, and cost-effectiveness.

- Run optimization models to determine the most efficient distribution of supply, ensuring timely fulfilment of high-demand areas from multiple plants if necessary.

Inventory Management: - Monitor inventory levels across all plants and warehouses to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations.

- Implement inventory management strategies to balance demand and supply effectively.

Coordination with Sales and Production: - Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand demand fluctuations and align supply planning with sales targets.

- Coordinate with production teams to ensure that manufacturing schedules align with supply plans and market demand.

Continuous Improvement and Reporting: - Track and report on key supply chain metrics, including demand fulfilment rates, inventory turnover, and supply chain costs.

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in supply planning processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Ethical Standards - Use ethical reasoning to guide decisions, considering the broader impact on the organization and stakeholders.





- Ensure all communications, both verbal and written, reflect the organization’s commitment to integrity and ethics.

Policy Adherence and Development - Implement and enforce organizational policies to maintain consistency and alignment with corporate objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification - MBA in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration Work Experience (Range of years) - 10-12 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.

Industry Knowledge - Demonstrate proficiency in demand forecasting, supply allocation, and inventory management strategies.
