Role & responsibilities

- Strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiation and commercial acumen.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic-cylinder components, material grades, engineering drawings, tolerances, plating/coating specifications and quality documentation.
- Import procurement, international logistics, Incoterms, freight/insurance, customs documentation and total landed-cost analysis.
- Supplier evaluation, audits, development, scorecards, root-cause analysis and corrective-action follow-up.
- Material planning, MRP, BOM-based procurement, lead-time analysis, safety stock and inventory optimization.
- Stores management, stock reconciliation, traceability, cycle counting and control of slow/non-moving inventory.
- Solid analytical skills in cost modelling, spend analysis, price trends, Excel and management reporting.
- ERP proficiency; Odoo experience is preferred. SAP/Oracle or equivalent manufacturing ERP experience is acceptable.
- Leadership, cross-functional coordination, decision-making, escalation management and continuous improvement.
- Integrity, process discipline,



attention to detail and commitment to quality, delivery and cost.
- 1218 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and/or supply chain in an engineering or manufacturing organization.
- At least 58 years in hydraulic cylinders, hydraulics, precision engineering, automotive components, industrial equipment or a closely related manufacturing sector; direct hydraulic-cylinder/component experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in imported materials, preferably sourcing from China, and domestic casting/foundry supplier development, including suppliers in industrial clusters such as Ludhiana.
- Experience managing steel/precision materials, hard chrome-plated rods, honed tubes, seals, castings and/or machined components is strongly preferred.

Experience leading a Purchase and Stores team, negotiating commercial contracts, managing ERP-based procurement and presenting performance MIS to senior management.
