Providing information and assisting the students, parents and faculties about a wide range of matters such as students' personal problems, learning difficulties and special requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advising the students on their personal problems and helps them to resolve it
- Clarifying pertinent information and discussing the implications toward students’ academic success
- Clarifying academic policies, college regulations, program requirements, procedures, and other college information
- Proactively help all students in the areas of their academic achievement, career and social/emotional development
- Counsel students regarding educational issues such as course and program selection, class scheduling, school adjustment, truancy, study habits, and career planning
- Maintaining professional integrity, confidentiality, respect, and sensitivity in advising
- Conducting Mental Health Awareness Campaigns
- Counsel individuals (students, staff, faculty etc.) to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations




- Confer with parents or guardians, teachers, other counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral, academic, and other problems
- Prepare students for later educational experiences by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks
- Maintain qualified interaction with the students
- Submission of records or documentations on time

Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills and respectful approach to all stakeholders
- Fluency in multiple languages including English, Hindi etc.
- Listening, assessing, and unbiased thinking skills
- Rapport-building and problem-solving skills and passion towards profession
- Self-awareness, multicultural competency & flexibility
- Should be able to handle all cases with empathy, trust, friendship & patience
- Therapeutic knowledge in dealing with students is appreciable
- Professional domain of interaction with colleagues and subordinates
