Key Responsibilities

- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of raw materials, consumables, tools, spare parts, and finished goods.

- FIFO (First In, First Out): Ensure materials received first are issued first, wherever applicable, to prevent ageing, deterioration, or expiry.

- LIFO (Last In, First Out): Apply the last-in, first-out method only where appropriate and permitted by the material-handling process and company policy.

- Material Receipt: Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans, and quantity specifications.

- Material Issuance: Issue materials to production and other departments against approved material requisitions.

- Stock Records: Maintain stock registers, GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), material issue slips, and ERP/Excel inventory records.

- Stock Verification: Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies with recorded inventory.

- Storage & Safety: Ensure proper labelling,



material identification, secure stacking, and housekeeping in the store.

- Coordination: Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Accounts departments for material availability and shortages.

- Reporting: Prepare daily stock reports, shortage reports, slow-moving stock reports, and monthly inventory summaries.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Graduate or Diploma preferred.

- Experience in stores and inventory management, preferably in manufacturing or sheet metal.

- Knowledge of FIFO, LIFO, GRN, stock registers, and material requisitions.

- Basic knowledge of MS Excel or inventory management software.

- Good record-keeping, communication, and coordination skills.
