Key Responsibilities

- Understand customer requirements and convert them into practical design solutions.

- Develop concepts, layouts, 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.

- Independently handle mechanical design activities, including exposure to SPM or machine design.

- Design sheet metal parts, enclosures, frames, brackets, structures, and mechanical assemblies.

- Apply GD&T;, fits, tolerances, and tolerance stack-up in designs and drawings.

- Perform basic engineering calculations for load, force, torque, power, shaft, bearing, fastener, motor, gearbox, and actuator selection.

- Ensure designs meet functional, manufacturing, assembly, serviceability, quality, and cost requirements.

- Conduct design reviews and identify technical, manufacturing, and project risks.

- Support DFM, DFA, VAVE, prototype development, testing, and design validation.





- Prepare BOMs, technical documentation, effort estimates, and project updates.

- Coordinate with customers, vendors, manufacturing teams, and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or an equivalent 3D CAD platform.

- Good knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes.

- Strong understanding of GD&T;, fits and tolerances, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing drawings.
