Job Title: SQL Server & Azure Cloud Management Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SQL Server & Azure Cloud Management Engineer responsible for managing Microsoft SQL Server databases, Azure cloud infrastructure, deployments, security, backup and recovery, and system performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database administration, cloud resource management, server administration, and CI/CD automation to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable systems.Key Responsibilities1. SQL Server Database Management

- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and indexes.
- Analyze query execution plans and troubleshoot performance issues, blocking, and deadlocks.
- Perform database backup, restoration, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Manage database users, roles, permissions, and authentication.
- Monitor database health, capacity, storage utilization, and availability.
- Implement database security, auditing, and data integrity measures.
- Manage database deployments, schema changes, and production releases.

2. Azure Cloud Management

- Provision, configure, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and resources.
- Manage Azure Virtual Machines running Windows and Linux.
- Configure Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), firewalls, and connectivity.
- Manage Azure Storage Accounts, Key Vault, and other relevant Azure services.




- Implement identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC.
- Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts, and diagnostic settings.
- Implement infrastructure backup and recovery using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery, where applicable.
- Monitor cloud resource utilization and optimize Azure costs.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, server, and deployment issues.

3. Deployment, Automation & Security

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Support application and database deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
- Work with Docker containers and container-based deployment processes.
- Apply security best practices for servers, databases, cloud resources, and network access.
- Manage configuration, access permissions, secrets, and credentials securely.
- Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system availability and reliability.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Experience with stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, indexing, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of SQL Server backup, restore,



monitoring, and recovery.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Understanding of Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, and networking.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Key Vault, and cloud security.
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of firewalls, access control, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of cloud backup, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.

- Knowledge of PowerShell, Azure CLI, or scripting for automation.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Experience with cloud cost management, resource governance, and security compliance.
