Linux Support Engineer – Linux & Python

Clover Infotech is looking for an experienced Linux Support Engineer with strong Linux administration skills and working knowledge of Python scripting to support its client, MCX India, in Mumbai.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Linux system administration, server monitoring, troubleshooting, production support and scripting automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, monitor and maintain Linux servers.
- Troubleshoot operating system, server performance and infrastructure issues.
- Monitor CPU, memory, disk utilization and system health.
- Manage Linux users, groups, file permissions, processes and services.
- Analyze system logs and perform root-cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate routine operational tasks.
- Use shell scripting to automate system administration activities.
- Support incident, problem and change management processes.
- Coordinate with application, network and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow operational and security procedures.

Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in Linux administration, Linux support or production support.
- Strong knowledge of Linux commands and system administration.
- Working knowledge of Python scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of Bash or shell scripting.




- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSH and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with log analysis, server monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu or similar Linux distributions.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management.
- Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible.
