Software Tester (.NET | Snowflake | SQL Server)

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for applications built on .NET, Snowflake, and SQL Server.
2. Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing to validate software quality and reliability.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, product owners, and data engineers—to define testing scope, resolve defects, and improve product performance.
4. Develop and maintain automated test suites to increase efficiency and reduce time-to-release.
5. Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and provide detailed feedback to development teams.
6. Create and manage test data, ensuring data integrity and consistency across environments.
7. Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and best practices in alignment with industry standards.
8. Document test procedures, results, and defect reports to ensure transparency and traceability.
9. Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
10. Mentor junior testers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the QA community of practice.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5–14 years of hands-on experience in software testing within complex, enterprise-level environments.
3. Strong proficiency in .NET application testing, including both manual and automated approaches.
4. Solid experience with Snowflake data warehousing and SQL Server databases, including writing and validating complex SQL queries.
5. Demonstrated ability to design and execute functional, regression,



performance, and integration tests.
6. Proficiency with testing tools such as Selenium, NUnit, xUnit, or similar frameworks.
7. Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate testing outcomes and collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to Have:

1. Professional certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
2. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices.
3. Knowledge of data modeling and ETL testing in Snowflake environments.
4. Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
5. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
6. Experience in testing BI/analytics solutions or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions to deliver high-quality software.
- Identify software risks and opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and depth.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to and enhance Zywave’s test automation frameworks and libraries.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other team members in an agile, team-based setting.
- Plan and execute functional, regression, and performance testing as required.
- Provide guidance and leadership to other engineers on test automation best practices.
- Participate in planning and design activities within continuous delivery cycles.
- Continuously improve development, testing practices, tools, and processes.
- Mentor and coach teammates while continuously enhancing your own technical skills.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles and contemporary software development practices.
- Experience with modern SaaS-oriented design patterns and architectures.
- Hands-on experience with test automation and performance testing practices.
- Hands-on experience in testing cloud-native applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services like Lambda, storage, and distributed systems.

Technology Orientation
