Position Summary

In this Software Asset Management role, you will support the software asset lifecycle Team. You will use automation, artificial intelligence, and software asset management practices to improve visibility into software investments, promote efficient use, and support governance. The role combines lifecycle operations, inventory management, user support, and cost-optimization activities in a complex software environment.

Work you'll do

As a Software Asset Management professional on the Deloitte Support Services India team, you will be responsible for:

- Complete administrative and analytical activities that support the Software Governance Board process.
- Operate daily software asset lifecycle management processes, including new-software and software-removal requests.
- Maintain software inventory and catalogue data, including software-version information, in software asset management tools.
- Partner with end users, management, and vendors to keep software current, support maintenance agreements, and resolve technical or administrative issues.
- Create dashboards and reports that support inventory management, cost optimization activities, and efficient software use.

The team Deloitte Support Services India brings together specialists who provide operational support and advice to Deloitte colleagues across Human Resources, Clients & Industries, Finance & Legal, Practice Support Services, Quality & Risk Services, IT Services, and Workplace Services & Real Estate. This role supports the UK and Switzerland businesses by helping manage software investments, inventories, and governance processes.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (7:30 AM to 5:00 PM UK time)

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, or another bachelor's degree.




- 3+ years of experience in software asset management, software governance, release management, or deployment management.
- Experience supporting software asset management, release, and deployment processes.
- Experience supporting desktop, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), server, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms.
- Experience using ServiceNow, Ariba, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Snow Software (SNOW), configuration management database (CMDB), and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience creating dashboards or reports for software inventory, software cost optimization, or strategic decision-making.
- Experience providing technical or administrative support for software asset management activities.

Preferred:
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 or v4 certification.
- Experience analyzing business processes and documenting process-improvement recommendations.
- Experience automating manual, repetitive processes.
- Experience with data-visualization tools, Microsoft 365, or macOS environments.
