1. Job Summary

CGC University is seeking a competent and dedicated Site Supervisor – Civil to oversee day-to-day civil construction, repair, renovation, and maintenance activities across the university campus. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising contractors and workers, ensuring quality workmanship, monitoring project progress, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring that all civil works are completed within the approved timelines and budgets.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Site Supervision: Supervise daily civil construction, repair, renovation, and maintenance activities across the university campus.
- Contractor Management: Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, labour teams, and vendors to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of assigned work.
- Quality Control: Inspect construction materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor daily site progress, maintain work records, and submit regular progress reports to the reporting manager.
- Drawing & Execution: Read and interpret civil engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Material Management: Monitor the consumption of construction materials, verify material requirements, minimize wastage, and coordinate timely material availability.
- Measurement & Billing: Check site measurements, maintain measurement records, verify contractor work quantities, and assist in bill verification.
- Repair & Maintenance: Supervise civil maintenance activities, including masonry, plastering, painting, flooring, waterproofing, plumbing-related civil coordination, and other building repair works.
- Safety Compliance:



Ensure adherence to site safety procedures, proper housekeeping, barricading, and safe working practices, particularly in occupied academic buildings.
- Coordination: Coordinate with university departments, facility management teams, security, and other stakeholders to minimize disruption to academic and administrative activities.
- Documentation: Maintain daily site reports, labour attendance, material records, inspection reports, and work completion documentation.
- Timely Execution: Ensure assigned works are completed within approved schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Additional Duties: Perform other civil engineering and infrastructure-related responsibilities as assigned by the management.

3. Educational Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Relevant practical experience in civil construction, building maintenance, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.

4. Experience

- Preferred Experience: 3–5 years in civil site supervision, building construction, institutional infrastructure, or facility maintenance.
- Experience in educational institutions, commercial buildings, residential projects, or large-campus infrastructure will be an added advantage.

5. Required Skills & Competencies

- Valuable knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and finishing works.
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of site measurements, quantity estimation,



and basic billing procedures.
- Strong contractor, labour, and vendor coordination skills.
- Understanding of construction quality standards and workplace safety practices.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Excel and documentation tools.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and construction planning tools will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance and construction activities simultaneously.

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Timely completion of assigned civil works.
- Quality of construction and maintenance activities.
- Compliance with safety standards and approved specifications.
- Effective utilization of materials and labour.
- Accuracy of site measurements and documentation.
- Timely resolution of civil maintenance complaints.
- Contractor performance and adherence to approved work schedules.

7. Working Conditions The position requires regular on-site supervision across the university campus, including construction areas, academic buildings, hostels, administrative blocks, and other infrastructure facilities. The candidate should be comfortable coordinating with contractors and labour teams and handling multiple site activities as required. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule: Day shift

Timing : 09:15 am - 06:00pm
