Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Set up recent bridge navigation infrastructure, retrofit older systems, and integrate complex marine electronics on commercial vessels and luxury yachts.
- Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix critical equipment breakdowns, replacing components like magnetrons in radar units, tuning sensors, and performing routine system updates.
- Compliance & Inspections: Conduct mandatory Annual Performance Tests (APT) on Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) and perform surveys on radio communication units to guarantee compliance with flag state regulations.
- Technical Support: Attend emergency vessel calls at local ports or at anchorages to trace faults rapidly and reduce expensive ship downtime.
- Documentation: Write precise technical service reports, track spare parts requests, and log hardware calibration metrics.
