Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on C#/.NET Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support the development and enhancement of an enterprise Patching-as-a-Service (PaaS) framework. The role combines application development with infrastructure automation, focusing on building robust and high-performing automation capabilities across physical, virtual, and containerized environments.

The existing platform has significant Python development, with components expected to move toward C# for improved performance. The engineer will also work extensively with Ansible for software distribution and patching.

Role & responsibilities

- Develop and enhance automation components using C#/.NET and Python.
- Improve the performance and scalability of the existing patching automation framework.
- Build and maintain automation associated with enterprise patching and software distribution.
- Use Ansible as the primary deployment/distribution mechanism.
- Develop solutions capable of operating across physical,



virtual and containerized infrastructure.
- Work closely with infrastructure and US engineering teams to understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Support ongoing enhancement of the Patching-as-a-Service platform as it moves toward greater maturity.

Preferred candidate profile

- Robust hands-on C#/.NET development experience.
- Working knowledge of Python, particularly for automation.
- Practical experience with Ansible, which is a must-have for this role.
- Understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems and infrastructure environments.
- Exposure to OpenShift/OCP, Kubernetes or containerized infrastructure.
- Experience developing automation solutions across VMs, physical servers and/or container platforms.
- Ability to understand infrastructure concepts and translate operational requirements into automation solutions.
