Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical design, 3D CAD modeling, product development, and engineering documentation. This role involves leading design projects, supporting customer engineering requirements, performing design validation activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.

The candidate should possess hands-on experience in NX CAD, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD (3D) and have a strong understanding of engineering design principles, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop complex mechanical components, assemblies, and products using 3D CAD tools.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.
- Lead design projects from concept development through design release and implementation.
- Perform design validation, simulation studies, tolerance analysis, and engineering calculations.
- Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Review and optimize existing designs for manufacturability, quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support customer Proof of Concepts (POCs), technical evaluations, and engineering requirements.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, GD&T; practices, and customer specifications.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and solution presentations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design best practices.
- Prepare technical reports, project updates, and design-related deliverables.

- Robust understanding of GD&T;, engineering drawings, and manufacturing fundamentals.
- Ability to independently lead design activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in product development, design validation, and customer-facing technical interactions will be an added advantage.
