Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications and microservices with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product, QA, and DevOps—to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
3. Lead architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making for new features and system improvements.
4. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
5. Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to elevate overall team performance.
6. Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize applications for speed and efficiency.
7. Ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
8. Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and continuously improve development processes.
9. Stay current with emerging Java technologies and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions where appropriate.
10. Support production deployments and provide timely troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.





Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
2. 6–10 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise-level applications using Java.
3. Proficiency in core Java, multithreading, collections, and concurrency.
4. Robust experience with Spring and/or Spring Boot frameworks.
5. Proven expertise in building RESTful APIs and web services.
6. Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including writing optimized SQL queries.
7. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
8. Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit) and test-driven development practices.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to debug complex issues.
10. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with microservice architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
2. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
3. Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and data caching solutions (e.g., Redis).
4. Familiarity with message brokers and event streaming (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
5. Front-end development experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
6. Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
7. Participation in open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio showcasing Java projects.
8. Professional certifications related to Java or cloud technologies.
