Role & Responsibilities: Machining & Overall Process Engineering (NPD)

- New Product Development & Process Planning:
- Spearhead new product development (NPD) lifecycle from concept and drawing study to prototype development and successful mass production handover.
- Define and establish robust manufacturing process routes, operation sequences, and process flows for complex machined components and assemblies.
- Advanced CNC/VMC Programming & Simulation:
- Develop, verify, and optimize multi-axis CNC and VMC programs using CAD/CAM software to ensure maximum efficiency, precision, and tool-life optimization.
- Execute program dry runs and simulations to eliminate collision risks and validate tool paths before shop-floor deployment.
- Machining Setup & Technical Leadership:
- Provide expert-level technical guidance on machine setup, work holding/fixture design, tool selection, and cutting parameter optimization (feeds, speeds, and depth of cut).
- Troubleshoot complex shop-floor machining challenges, including surface finish defects, dimensional variances, tool breakage, and machine alarms.
- Drawing Interpretation & Design Feasibility:
- Conduct thorough technical reviews of 2D/3D engineering drawings and specifications, applying expert knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) feasibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate closely with design, quality, tooling, and production teams to resolve technical bottlenecks and drive First Article Inspection (FAI) approvals.
- Monitor overall process performance, implement cost-reduction initiatives, and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen/Lean) across manufacturing processes.





Preferred Candidate Profile- WHAT WE LOOKING : 1. Education & Qualification

- Bachelors Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline.

2. Experience

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, machining, and Current Product Development (NPD) environments, with a strong background in precision engineering.

3. Technical Expertise & Core Skills

- Machining & Process Mastery: Extensive, in-depth knowledge of advanced machining processes (CNC Turning, VMC, milling, drilling, grinding) and overall manufacturing process life cycles from prototype to production.
- Programming & Software Proficiency: Proven expertise in advanced CAM/CNC programming, tool path optimization, simulation, and working with modern CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, UG/NX, Solid CAM).
- Tooling & Parameters: Deep understanding of cutting tools, tool geometry, inserts, work holding/fixture design, and calculating optimal feeds and speeds for various materials.
- Drawing & GD&T; Proficiency: Strong capability to read and analyze complex 2D/3D engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to independently resolve shop-floor machining defects, tool wear issues, program errors, and machine alarms.
