Title: Senior AI Data Scientist (GenAI/RAG) – Long-Term Contract

About the role

ExtraMint AI is hiring a hands-on Senior AI Data Scientist for a long-term, 100% remote engagement supporting a global enterprise client’s AI programs. You will take business problem statements through POC and prototype, then package validated solutions for the delivery team.

What you’ll do

- Convert business problems into AI/ML approaches and run POCs
- Experiment with and tune GenAI/RAG components (chunking, embeddings, retrieval, prompts) and evaluate the results
- Build prototypes and hand over validated solutions as clean, reusable artifacts
- Work on Azure AI Foundry and Databricks




- Collaborate with the product owner, AI/ML engineers and architects
- Mentor junior team members

What you bring

- Senior, hands-on data science background (this is not a people-management role)
- Production exposure to GenAI/LLM and RAG solutions
- Strong Python and ML/statistical modeling
- Experience taking solutions from POC to prototype
- Clear communication and business sense

Positive to have: Azure AI Foundry/Azure OpenAI, Databricks, model evaluation and experimentation frameworks, MLOps, industrial/energy/manufacturing domain
