B2B Founding Sales Development Representative

Remote | U.S. cold calling

$14,000–$20,000 USD annual base | $25,000+ on-target earnings

HelplineSoftware’s core product is used to run on-call teams all over the country 24/7. This founding SDR role is only for people that want to take full ownership, have growth opportunities, and to work together long-term. There’s a TON of prospect here for the right person.

You’re a good fit if: You’ll enjoy understanding our ICP across multiple market segments, will get creative about finding best fit accounts, dialing leaders, and getting rejected over and over again until you find what works. You have been easily bypassing gatekeepers for 2+ years, work full CST US hours, and don’t need help figuring out what will work and what won’t.

This role isn’t a good fit if you prefer more structured roles, want a process that already works, can’t bypass gatekeepers, want to be part of a larger team, prefer email / Linkedin over phone calls, or want to be an AE or manager on day 1.

Responsibilities:

- Research target accounts and build your own calling lists.




- Make 100 dials / day starting on day 4.
- Spend most of your day cold-calling carefully selected U.S. business prospects.
- Use discovery to identify real issues, and book qualified meetings.
- Learn: cold calling to new markets is hard. You’ll need to keep figuring out what prospects resonate with and what they don’t, refine targeting, etc.
- Keep really good data: We are strong believers in data and learning based on data. That means you’ll be held to the same high standard we hold for ourselves.

You’re a fit if

- You have 2+ years personally cold-calling U.S. businesses. This is excluding Inbound, Support, and B2C experience.

- Thrive in unstructured environments: You can explain your own results: targets, qualified meetings that took place, and opportunities created.
- You speak clear English, listen carefully, and ask useful follow-up questions.
- You organize your work independently and do not require coaching - you can function fully independently.
