Safety Officer/ Assistant manager EHS

Key Responsibilities

- Risk Assessment &
- Hazard Identification:

Conduct regular site walkthroughs to identify physical, chemical, or biological hazards. Perform detailed risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to prevent accidents before they occur.

- Policy Development: Create, implement, and update comprehensive Health, Safety, and Setting (HSE) policies in line with current legislation.

- Safety Training &

- Drills:

Organize and lead safety training sessions, "Toolbox Talks," and emergency response drills (fire, evacuation, first aid) to ensure staff readiness.

- Incident Investigation: Lead the investigation into workplace accidents or near-misses. Use root cause analysis to determine why an incident happened and implement corrective measures.

- Compliance &

- Auditing:





Ensure the organization adheres to legal standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001). Prepare for and coordinate with external safety inspectors and auditors.

- Equipment Oversight: Regularly inspect safety equipment like fire extinguishers, alarms, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure they are functional and properly used.

Required Skills &

- Qualifications

- Education: Bachelors degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health &
- Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: Typically 57 years of experience in a safety role, often specific to the industry (e.g., textile, Food Grade related , Manufacturing, ).
