Safety l Engineer (Building Construction)

Location: Jabalpur (Frequent travel between project sites required)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Safety Engineer to lead the execution of residential, commercial, and government building projects. The candidate will be responsible for managingTo ensure worker safety, enforce labor laws, and prevent accidents on the construction site. and timely project completion while ensuring adherence to safety and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Construction Safety Engineer - Key Responsibilities

- Enforce Safety Standards: Implement strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules and labor laws on site.
- Daily Site Inspections: Inspect scaffolding, excavations, machinery, and work areas to identify and fix hazards.
- Manage High-Risk Permits: Oversee Work Permits for activities like working at heights, hot work, and confined spaces.
- Ensure PPE Compliance: Make sure all workers wear mandatory PPE (helmets, harnesses, safety shoes).
- Conduct Toolbox Talks: Lead daily safety briefings and worker training sessions before starting shifts.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents or near-misses and enforce corrective actions to prevent them.
- Emergency Preparedness: Maintain fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and clear emergency evacuation routes.

2. Conception / Planning & Design Engineer - Key Responsibilities

- Initial Concept Creation: Translate client requirements into preliminary architectural layouts and design concepts.
- Feasibility Studies: Check site conditions, soil reports, and zoning laws to verify project feasibility.
- Cost Estimation & BOQ: Prepare initial cost projections, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) during the concept stage.
- Design Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams on blueprints and drawings.
- Value Engineering: Suggest alternative,



cost-effective materials and methods without compromising quality.
- Project Scheduling: Develop high-level project timelines and Work Breakdown Structures (

Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in building construction projects.
- Male / Female
- ADIS Diploma

Construction Safety Engineer - Required Skills

- Education: Degree or Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering or relevant field.
- Certifications: OSHA, NEBOSH, or IOSH certification (preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience in site safety management in construction projects.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of local labor laws, safety standards, and hazard identification (HIRA).
- Communication: Strong communication skills to conduct safety briefings and train workers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle emergency situations and investigate accidents.

2. Conception / Planning & Design Engineer - Required Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools, and planning software (MS Project, Primavera).
- Experience: Experience in initial project planning, design coordination, or estimation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to do cost estimation, budgeting, and feasibility studies.
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Communication: Excellent coordination skills to work with architects, clients, and technical teams.
