Job Title: Rubber Compounder

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Rubber Compounder responsible for preparing rubber compounds as per approved formulations, maintaining batch consistency, and ensuring the required quality standards and production targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare rubber compounds as per approved formulations, batch cards, and production schedules.
- Operate and monitor rubber mixing equipment, including internal mixers (Banbury), two-roll mills, and related machinery.
- Accurately weigh and mix raw materials, including natural rubber, synthetic rubber, carbon black, oils, chemicals, fillers, and additives.
- Follow the correct sequence of material addition, mixing time, temperature, and other process parameters.
- Maintain batch-to-batch consistency and ensure proper dispersion of ingredients.
- Monitor compound properties such as viscosity, temperature, specific gravity, and Mooney viscosity, as applicable.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) department for testing and approval of rubber compounds.
- Identify and report mixing defects, material variations, and process deviations.
- Maintain batch records, raw material consumption records, and production reports.
- Ensure proper material identification, traceability, and prevention of cross-contamination.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, PPE requirements, 5S practices, and housekeeping standards.




- Coordinate with the maintenance team to report equipment breakdowns and abnormalities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in rubber compounding or rubber mixing operations.
- Knowledge of rubber formulations, raw materials, and chemical handling.
- Practical experience operating Banbury mixers and/or two-roll mills.
- Understanding of mixing cycles, temperature control, dispersion, and batch preparation.
- Basic knowledge of rubber testing methods and quality requirements.
- Ability to read batch cards, follow process instructions, and maintain production records.
- Valuable teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Consistency and quality of rubber compounds.
- Batch rejection and material wastage rates.
- Production output and adherence to production schedules.
- Compliance with approved formulations and process parameters.
- Machine utilization and workplace safety compliance.

Working Conditions
- Work in a rubber manufacturing or mixing department.
- May involve shift duties and working around heat, noise, and industrial machinery.
- Compliance with all applicable safety procedures is mandatory.

Preferred Candidate: A hands-on professional with practical experience in rubber mixing, formulation handling, process control, and quality consistency. Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
