1. Basic Qualification

- BE – Mechanical Engineering / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME).

2. Preferred Qualification

- Practical experience in robotic welding processes.
- Knowledge of industrial robot operation, programming, and welding applications.

3. Work Experience

- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in robotic welding and industrial automation.

4. Preferred Industry Experience

- Robotic Welding
- Welding Automation
- Sheet Metal Fabrication
- Automotive Components or Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing

5. Job Profile & Key Competencies A. Robot Welding Fundamentals

- Strong knowledge of welding principles, heat input, and metal behaviour during welding.
- Understanding of joint preparation and welding techniques.
- Ability to identify weld defects, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions.

B. Robot Programming & Operation

- Experience in industrial robot operation, teaching, and programming.
- Knowledge of robot coordinate systems and TCP (Tool Centre Point) calibration.
- Ability to generate and optimize welding paths and torch approach angles.
- Knowledge of collision avoidance, process -proofing, and error prevention systems.

C. Welding Process Knowledge

- Practical knowledge of MIG welding and Laser welding processes.
- Ability to set and optimize welding parameters based on material, thickness, and joint requirements.
- Capability to minimize welding cycle time while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of weld quality improvement and process optimization.

D. Welding Fixtures & Quality Control

- Understanding of welding fixture design requirements and process identification.
- Knowledge of clamp positioning, locating strategies, and component alignment.




- Ability to troubleshoot fixture-related welding issues and ensure consistent weld quality.
- Coordination with Quality and Production teams to resolve welding defects.

E. Welding Automation

- Basic knowledge of PLC interfaces and industrial sensors.
- Understanding of automation sequences and robot-to-machine communication.
- Knowledge of safety interlocks, sensor integration, and automated production systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot robot and automation-related process issues.

F. Industrial Safety Awareness

- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and safe robotic welding practices.
- Proper use of PPE and awareness of welding and laser safety requirements.
- Understanding of emergency stop systems, safety interlocks, and emergency response procedures.

6. Key Skills & Competencies

- Robotic welding operation and programming.
- MIG and Laser welding process knowledge.
- Robot teaching and troubleshooting.
- Welding parameter optimization and cycle-time reduction.
- Fixture setting and weld quality improvement.
- PLC, sensors, and automation system fundamentals.
- Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and teamwork.

7. Key Responsibilities

- Operate, program, and optimize robotic welding systems.
- Develop and modify robot welding programs based on production requirements.
- Ensure consistent welding quality and achieve production targets.
- Reduce cycle time, welding defects, and equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot robot, fixture, welding, and automation-related problems.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standard operating practices.
- Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and process efficiency.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
