Job Opening: Residential Medical Officer / School Doctor

Location: Sanjay Ghodawat International School (SGIS), Kolhapur

About the Role

Sanjay Ghodawat International School is looking for a caring, proactive, and qualified Residential Doctor to oversee the health, hygiene, and emergency medical care of our residential and day-boarding students.

The selected candidate will be required to reside on-campus in the Girls' Hostel to provide round-the-clock medical assistance and routine care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide primary healthcare, first aid, and emergency medical support to boarding students, day scholars, and staff.
- Supervise the school infirmary, maintain inventory of essential medicines, and manage medical records/student health profiles.
- Reside on-campus within the Girls’ Hostel and respond promptly to medical calls or night-time emergencies.
- Coordinate with local hospitals, emergency services,



and parents in the event of responsible illness or hospitalization.
- Monitor campus hygiene, nutrition, and wellness practices across hostels and school premises.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Qualification: MBBS / BAMS / BHMS degree with valid state/national medical council registration.
- Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience, with demonstrable experience handling children/adolescents (experience in boarding schools or pediatric clinics is highly desirable).
- Accommodation: Must be comfortable and willing to reside within the Girls’ Hostel premises (accommodation and meals provided).
- Availability: Immediate joiner or short notice period (within 7–15 days).
- Skills: Empathetic, alert, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and reassuring approach toward school children.
