We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Automobile Dealership Recruiter to lead talent acquisition for our growing dealership group. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top-tier automotive professionals—ranging from high-performing sales consultants to certified service technicians. You will partner closely with the General Manager and department heads to keep our dealership fully staffed with talent that drives sales and delivers exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Dealership Talent Sourcing: Proactively source active and passive candidates for critical dealership roles, including Sales, Service & Support functions.

- High-Volume Recruiting: Manage high-volume recruitment cycles, particularly for sales and service departments, ensuring a continuous pipeline to minimize empty floor slots or open service bays.

- Technical & Trade Outreach: Build relationships with local automotive trade schools, technical colleges, Skilled courses college, ITI etc

- Hiring Manager Collaboration: Partner with the General Manager, Service Director, and Sales Managers to understand seasonal hiring spikes, technical certification requirements, and personality alignments for the floor.

- Screening & Assessment: Review resumes, conduct initial phone screenings, and evaluate candidates for key automotive traits like strong communication, work ethic, technical aptitude, and clean driving records.

- Brand Ambassadorship: Promote the dealership’s culture, commission structures,



and growth paths

- Active Headhunting: Map local and regional competitors to directly source and approach passive talent, including top-producing Sales Consultants and Finance & Insurance (F&I;) Managers.

- Technical Service Pipeline Sourcing: Build and maintain direct pipelines for skilled labor by recruiting from independent repair shops, competing OEM dealerships, and establishing relationships with automotive trade schools & colleges.

- Digital Sourcing Strategies: Utilize advanced Boolean search strings, LinkedIn Recruiter, specialized automotive networks, Facebook Jobs, and local community forums to uncover hidden talent pools.

- Grassroots & Local Networking: Attend local car shows, automotive trade expos, and community job fairs to build a physical network of prospective dealership talent.

- Employee Referral Programs: Drive and optimize internal referral campaigns to leverage the personal networks of our current technicians, mechanics, and sales staff.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Experience: 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.

Experience in the automotive retail or dealership sector is highly preferred (or experience in high-turnover industries like retail, hospitality, or commission-based sales).

- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with dealership-specific compliance requirements

- Tech-Savvy: Experience working with specialized job boards
