As a Reader in the Department of Biochemistry, you will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the field of biochemistry. You will be expected to design and deliver high-quality lectures and laboratory sessions to undergraduate and graduate students in the biochemistry program. You will also be responsible for supervising research projects and dissertations at the postgraduate level.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver high-quality teaching in biochemistry to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Design and develop course material in biochemistry that aligns with the objectives of the program.
- Contribute to the research output of the department through the conduct of independent research and the supervision of postgraduate research projects.
- Provide mentorship to students and junior faculty members.




- Engage in cooperative research and interdisciplinary activities with other departments within the College.
- Contribute to the development of the Department of Biochemistry through the provision of academic leadership, service and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Post graduate degree (M.D.S)in Biochemistry or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in biochemistry or a related field at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- A proven track record of conducting independent research in biochemistry or a related field, with publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and collaborate with other researchers and faculty members.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
