Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role at Apollo Clinic, Digilipur or Hut Bay, you will be provided an accommodation also which will be fully paid by the company. The Radiologist will be responsible for running imaging services at the assigned location, interpreting studies, and issuing accurate, timely reports that support clinical decision-making for island communities. The role involves close collaboration with referring physicians and the imaging team, and adherence to clinical protocols, radiation safety norms, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnostic imaging
- Interpret and report X-rays,



ultrasound (including obstetric and Doppler studies), and other modalities available at the centre
- Perform and report ultrasound examinations within credentialed scope
- Advise referring clinicians on appropriate investigations
- Provide urgent reads and communicate critical findings promptly
- Support teleradiology or second-opinion arrangements for complex cases, where applicable
- Clinical and team responsibilities
- Consult with referring physicians on imaging findings and next steps
- Supervise radiographers, sonographers, and technologists, and review image quality
- Coordinate referrals to Port Blair or mainland centres for advanced imaging or specialist care

Quality and compliance

- Maintain accurate, timely reports and records
- Follow AERB radiation safety regulations, PCPNDT Act requirements, infection control, and patient safety standards
- Contribute to audits and continuous improvement of imaging services
- Support preventive health check and screening programmes

Qualifications and Experience

- Essential
- MD / DNB in Radiodiagnosis (Radiology), or equivalent, with valid medical registration
- Proficiency in ultrasound and X-ray interpretation
- Registration under the PCPNDT Act for ultrasound practice, as applicable
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical ethics, and continuous professional development

Preferred

- Experience with CT and other advanced modalities
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS and teleradiology workflows
- Prior experience in a remote or small-centre setting
- Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication with referring clinicians
- Ability to work independently with limited on-site specialist backup
- Willingness to live and work in a remote island location

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per month
