HIRING: QUANTITY SURVEYOR – REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER
Location: Calicut, Kerala, India
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join a real estate development company. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in construction cost estimation, BOQ preparation, cost control, budgeting, and contractor billing, preferably with a real estate developer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare project budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation.
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to assess material and labour requirements.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and expenditure to ensure cost efficiency.
- Review and verify contractor bills, subcontractor claims, and interim payment applications.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, project managers, and procurement teams.
- Analyse material costs, project expenses, and variations, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Assist with tender evaluations, contract administration, final accounts, and project cost reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably with a real estate developer or construction company.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, budgeting, and cost control.
- Experience in contractor billing, variation analysis, and tender documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of QS software is an advantage.
- Robust analytical, negotiation, coordination, and cost-management skills.
