Role & responsibilities

- Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products as per drawings and quality plans.

- Operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to measure machined and fabricated components accurately.

- Set up and fixture components, and create, edit, and run CMM inspection programs.

- Select and qualify probes and styli, and perform routine machine verification checks.

- Perform dimensional inspection using measuring instruments and gauges.

- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; requirements.

- Record inspection results, prepare inspection reports, and report non-conformities to Quality and Production teams.

- Maintain the CMM, fixtures, and measuring instruments within calibration, and follow quality procedures and safety guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

- Skills: Engineering drawing reading, GD&T;, precision measurement, Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, gauges, CMM operation/programming, and inspection reports.

- Preferred: Experience in precision manufacturing, aerospace, defence, automotive, or CNC manufacturing.
