Job Title: Purchase Officer

:

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure the timely availability of materials required for electrical projects and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors, compare prices, and negotiate the best rates and payment terms.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Follow up on pending orders and resolve delivery delays.
- Coordinate with the stores, production, and project teams to understand material requirements.
- Monitor stock availability and arrange procurement to avoid material shortages.
- Verify purchase invoices against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier quotations, invoices, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with existing and potential suppliers.




- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising material quality.
- Coordinate with the accounts department regarding supplier payments and outstanding balances.
- Handle urgent purchase requirements and arrange materials according to project and production priorities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualification: Diploma or Degree in any relevant discipline.
- Experience: 0 -2 years experience
- Knowledge of electrical materials, components, and equipment is an advantage.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
- Ability to maintain purchase records and prepare comparative statements.
- Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet procurement deadlines.

Industry: Transformer Manufacturing Nature of Work: Vendor sourcing, quotation comparison, price negotiation, purchase order preparation, material procurement, supplier coordination, and delivery follow-up.
