Job Summary:

The Production Specialist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing processes in a dairy production facility. This role focuses on ensuring productive, high-quality production while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The Production Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, manage equipment, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management:
- Monitor and manage daily dairy production activities to meet quality and quantity targets.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and efficient processing of milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, and other dairy products.
- Supervise pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging processes, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Quality Assurance:

- Implement and monitor quality control systems to maintain product consistency.
- Conduct inspections and audits of production areas to ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
- Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.

- Process Optimization:

- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.




- Assist in process automation projects and evaluate new technologies.

- Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including FDA, FSMA, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct safety training for production staff and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate production and safety records.

- Inventory and Resource Management:

- Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing team for timely procurement.
- Optimize the use of resources to minimize downtime and reduce production costs.

- Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to achieve production goals.
- Provide training and support to production staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.

- Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and submit production reports, including efficiency, waste, and downtime analyses.
- Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
