Role Description: Production Manager

Purpose: To organize and oversee the manufacturing activities and ultimately be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output.

Reporting to: Director

Location : Pawane

Education: Diploma /Bachelor’s degree in Chem Engineering/BSc/M.sc Chemistry from a reputed institute

Industry preferred: Organic Chemical/ Pharma Manufacturing Industry

Years of Experience: 10+ years in Production Activities

Key Stakeholders: Production Officers/ Shift Supervisors/ Contractual

Candidate Experience & Skills:

· Proven experience as Production Manager

· In-depth knowledge of production management





· Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations

· Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts

· Experience in reporting on key production metrics

· Proficient in MS Office and ERP software

· Excellent communication, organizational and leaderships skills

· Attention to detail

· Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach

· Exposure and Experience to handle Hydrogenation/Grignard/Ethylation/Oxidation/ Esterification etc and High Vacuum Fractional Distillations will be preferred.

· Knowledge of Industrial Safety, ISO Systems, FSSAI/USFDA /GMP, Effluent Treatment will be an added advantage.

Job responsibilities:

· Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements

· Estimate costs and prepare budgets

· Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines

· Monitor production to resolve issues

· Allocating labor resources, tracking production schedules and cost adjustments to ensure everything runs smoothly

· Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)

· Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.

· Ensure output meets quality standards

· Enforce health and safety precautions

Skills required:

· Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)

· Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise

· Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes

· Computer literacy

· Ability to create accountability and to lead by example

· Solid team building, decision-making and people management skills
