About the job

Founded in 2021, Complyance is a developer-first e-invoicing SaaS company. Through a single API, we help businesses connect their invoicing workflows and meet e-invoicing mandates across markets, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia’s ZATCA requirements, without rebuilding e-invoicing every time they enter a new market.

After five years of bootstrapped investment in engineering, we recently raised US$1.5 million in pre-series funding to accelerate an already-operating platform serving enterprise customers. We support e-invoicing projects for brands including L’Occitane, Mothercare Malaysia, LC Waikiki and RedBus, alongside Abu Dhabi-based Tadweer Group. Behind those names are real integrations, busy finance teams and business workflows that need to keep moving.

We connect ERP, billing and business systems with the tools to map invoice data, validate documents, submit invoices and track their status. Product work such as ERP Reconciliation, AI Reports and our AI Support Assistant shows the range of practical problems we are building for.

Life at Complyance :

We take initiative, write down what matters and share what we learn. We ask valuable questions, communicate uncertainty honestly and use feedback to improve.

Ownership also means judgement: we protect customer information, respect tenant boundaries and use approved access. And Support and Core Engineering are complementary specialisms, not junior and senior tiers.

The mission :

Product Support Engineering at Complyance is not about forwarding queries or closing as many tickets as possible. It is about understanding why something isn’t working, helping the customer through it, and improving the product or tools behind the experience.

You will build technical depth by investigating APIs, integrations and invoicing workflows alongside Core Product Engineering, and own the customer’s conversation through a verified resolution or an accepted handover. When you are not handling client issues, you will keep building, maintaining and enhancing our internal support bot.

If you enjoy helping people and want writing code to remain part of your work, this role brings both together.

Where you’ll leave your mark :

• Get to the bottom of technical problems:

Reproduce issues in a safe environment, test hypotheses and connect evidence across browser developer tools, APIs, logs and product behaviour. Learn to tell configuration issues, integration failures, product defects and expected behaviour apart.

• Own the customer’s experience: Explain what you know in transparent language, agree the next action and update, keep customers informed while engineering investigates, and verify the affected workflow before calling it restored.

• Write code that makes support better: Write and debug diagnostic or reproduction scripts, regression tests and support-tool improvements, and, as your skills grow, contribute reviewed bug fixes.

• Build and own our internal support bot: Turn recurring support needs into useful capabilities, fix defects, add tests and keep documentation current.

• Work alongside Core Product Engineering: Bring clear evidence, useful reproduction steps and a specific technical request, while keeping the customer conversation.

• Make the next case easier: Turn recurring patterns into better troubleshooting guides, diagnostics, automation and product feedback that help the next person.

• Learn how e-invoicing works in practice: Build knowledge of supported-country workflows, customer integrations and document journeys, working with Product, Customer Success, delivery and the ERP/Integration role.

The kind of builder we’re looking for :

You’ll likely thrive in this role if you:

• Have experience in product support, software engineering or API/integration troubleshooting, or are a fresher with strong foundations and learning potential.

• Genuinely want to work in a customer-facing product support environment.

• Like understanding how systems work, not simply following a script, and can break an unfamiliar problem into practical checks.

• Have a working understanding of HTTP, JSON,

APIs, authentication, client-server behaviour and databases, gained through study, projects, internships or employment.

• Can write, debug and test small programs, read unfamiliar code, and use logs or queries to reason about a problem.

• Can explain a technical issue clearly to technical and non-technical people, and keep others updated.

• Take ownership after escalation, distinguish facts from assumptions, and ask for help before an unsafe action.

• Research independently, respond well to feedback and show what you learned from one problem to the next.

Prior Product Support experience is not required. A particular degree or previous e-invoicing specialisation is not required either. We care about your foundations, curiosity, communication and learning potential.

Bonus points :

• ERP/accounting integrations, webhooks and asynchronous systems.

• MongoDB or SQL, and browser developer tools.

• Customer-facing troubleshooting experience.

• TypeScript/JavaScript, Bun, React/Next.js and automated testing.

This is useful experience, not a checklist. Complyance workflows, country-specific product behaviour and our tools are learnable; we do not expect you to arrive knowing the whole stack.

What growth and success look like :

You will build product understanding, diagnostic depth, customer communication and engineering skills through coaching and practical work, with learning goals that reflect your starting point.

Success means sound diagnosis, safe decisions, kept communication commitments, helpful tools and verified customer progress, not ticket, fix, article or pull-request quotas.

Why Complyance?

• Competitive base salary. The range will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

• Comprehensive benefits, including health insurance for you and your family and paid time off.

• The chance to build for a category that is being shaped by regulation right now, across some of the fastest-moving e-invoicing markets in the world.

• A lean, collaborative team where your work is visible and your decisions matter.
