Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Product Designer – Lighting to design and develop lighting products such as LED luminaires, decorative lights, architectural lighting fixtures, and other lighting solutions. The candidate should have knowledge of product drawings, 2D/3D modelling, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility.

The ideal candidate should be able to convert design concepts into practical, technically accurate products suitable for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop lighting products, including LED fixtures, decorative lights, architectural luminaires, and customised lighting solutions.
- Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
- Develop product concepts, sketches, prototypes, and production-ready drawings.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure product designs are suitable for manufacturing.
- Work on dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, and component specifications.
- Understand LED modules, drivers, heat sinks, aluminium profiles, diffusers, and other lighting components.
- Assist in prototype development, product testing,



and design modifications.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards, functionality requirements, and cost targets.
- Maintain product drawings, design files, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical documentation.
- Support the team in improving existing lighting products and developing new product ranges.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in product design, preferably in the lighting or electrical manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and any one 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion 360.
- Understanding of mechanical drawings, dimensions, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of lighting components, LED fixtures, and luminaire construction is preferred.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple design assignments and meet deadlines.
- A portfolio or samples of previous product designs will be an advantage.
