About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement professional with hands-on experience in the skincare and pharmaceutical industries. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, active ingredients, packaging materials, and other procurement requirements while ensuring competitive pricing, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for skincare and pharmaceutical raw materials and packaging materials.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with approved suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.
- Cost Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules to optimize procurement costs.
- Raw Material Procurement: Manage sourcing of skincare ingredients, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, chemicals, and other relevant materials, as applicable.
- Packaging Procurement: Source packaging materials such as bottles, tubes, caps, labels, cartons, and other product-specific packaging.
- Purchase Planning: Coordinate with Production, R&D;, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure materials meet approved specifications and applicable quality and regulatory requirements in coordination with the Quality and Regulatory teams.
- Vendor Evaluation: Assess supplier capabilities, compare quotations, evaluate quality, and monitor vendor performance.
- Purchase Order Management: Generate purchase orders, track deliveries,



and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely fulfilment.
- Inventory Coordination: Monitor stock availability, procurement lead times, and material requirements to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
- Documentation: Maintain purchase orders, quotations, supplier records, material specifications, and other procurement-related documentation.
- Market Research: Track material price fluctuations, identify alternate suppliers, and explore cost-saving opportunities.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement operations and adherence to business requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing within the skincare and pharmaceutical industries.
- Hands-on experience in sourcing raw materials and packaging materials relevant to skincare and pharmaceutical products.
- Strong knowledge of vendor development, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, and purchase planning.
- Understanding of applicable quality standards, GMP requirements, and regulatory documentation, wherever relevant.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP or procurement systems.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Relevant experience in both skincare and pharmaceutical procurement.
- Strong supplier network and experience in vendor development.
- Ability to identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities without compromising quality.
- Robust commercial understanding and vendor negotiation skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and manage procurement timelines effectively.

Important: Hands-on experience in both skincare and pharmaceutical procurement is preferred; make this mandatory if required for the role.
