About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to head our Process Technologies Group, encompassing Process Safety, Flow Chemistry, Particle Science & Engineering, and Technology Transfer functions. The role will be responsible for driving innovation, process scalability, operational excellence, and secure technology transfer from R&D; to commercial manufacturing while ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership

- Define and implement the long-term strategy for the Process Technologies Group aligned with business objectives.
- Drive innovation in process development, process safety, flow chemistry, particle engineering, and scale-up technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into development platforms.
- Collaborate with R&D;, Manufacturing, Engineering, QA, and EHS teams to develop technology roadmaps and business growth initiatives.

Operational Excellence

- Lead Process Safety, Flow Chemistry, Particle Engineering, and Technology Transfer functions.
- Oversee laboratory operations, pilot plant activities, scale-up studies, and commercial process transfers.
- Ensure robust planning, execution, documentation, and review of development and scale-up activities.
- Drive process hazard evaluations, thermal screening, reactive hazard assessments, and dust explosion studies.
- Lead continuous process development initiatives through flow chemistry platforms.
- Guide particle engineering activities including crystallization, milling, solid-form optimization, and manufacturability assessments.
- Manage end-to-end technology transfer from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial production.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GLP, GMP, EHS, and quality requirements.




- Review technical reports, risk assessments, transfer documents, and development packages.
- Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial & Resource Management

- Manage annual departmental budgets and resource planning.
- Evaluate investments in technologies, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Drive operational efficiencies and cost optimization initiatives.
- Support business cases for capital expenditure and technology investments.

People Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.
- Foster a culture of innovation, safety, accountability, and collaboration.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and capability building.
- Set performance objectives and support career development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering.

Experience

- 15+ years of experience in chemical process development, scale-up, process safety, and technology transfer.
- 3-5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Proven experience in laboratory and pilot plant operations.
- Experience in Pharma, Specialty Chemicals, CRO, or CDMO environments preferred.

Technical Competencies

- Deep expertise in process safety evaluation, hazard assessment, and thermal screening.
- Strong understanding of process development, scale-up, and commercialization.
- Knowledge of flow chemistry, particle engineering, crystallization, and process intensification.
- Experience with technology transfer and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Familiarity with GLP, GMP, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional technical projects.
