Purpose/Objective

The Plant and Machinery Lead ensures the optimal mobilization, operation, and maintenance of all equipment at project sites, aligning with project schedules and budgets.

This role focuses on minimizing downtime, managing inventory, ensuring safety and compliance, and driving continuous improvements to achieve maximum productivity and project success.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Equipment Mobilization and Commissioning: - Lead the mobilization of all plant and machinery resources in alignment with the project schedule, ensuring timely installation and commissioning of captive plants such as crushers, batching plants, WMM plants, and hot mix plants.

- Coordinate with sub-contractors for plant mobilization and ensure all equipment is ready for production with valid legal documentation.
- Oversee the readiness of equipment like crushers, WMM, RMC, and hot mix plants, ensuring all plants are operational and compliant with regulations.

Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance: - Continuously monitor plant operations and equipment performance to ensure optimal productivity and alignment with project schedules and budget.

- Implement strategies to minimize breakdowns and ensure that all equipment maintains availability as per requirement, ensuring immediate restoration in case of breakdowns.
- Oversee the hiring and utilization of outsourced equipment, monitoring their performance to meet project deadlines and productivity benchmarks.

Inventory and Spare Management: - Maintain a steady inventory of spare parts and consumables,



coordinating with site teams and vendors to ensure a continuous supply of service spares and timely resolution of warranty issues.

- Monitor production costs and manage the performance of subcontractor equipment, ensuring effective use of resources to optimize project performance.
- Ensure regular updates on inventory levels for sand, aggregates, and other key materials, providing accurate and timely reporting to senior management.

Safety and Compliance: - Ensure the safe operation of all plant and machinery, with zero accidents and strict adherence to safety standards and legal requirements.

- Manage compliance with all statutory and regulatory documentation, ensuring all equipment meets legal requirements and certifications.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging the team to adopt new technologies and methods for plant and equipment management, while focusing on personal and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications and Experience
