Role Description The P91/T91 High Pressure Pipe Welder is a full-time, on-site role based in Durgapur. The role involves performing high-quality welding on P91/T91 high-pressure pipes, following approved welding procedures, safety standards, and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include preparing materials and equipment, setting up work areas, reading and interpreting technical drawings and isometric diagrams, and executing precise welds using appropriate welding processes.

The welder will inspect welds visually and with testing methods as required, carry out necessary repairs, and maintain welding tools and machinery in sound working order. The role also includes collaborating with supervisors, engineers, and other trades, documenting work completed, and adhering strictly to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in a high-pressure piping environment.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong high-pressure pipe welding capabilities, with demonstrated experience in P91/T91 materials and familiarity with related welding codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, isometrics, and welding procedure specifications to execute precise and compliant welds.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of welding processes and techniques commonly used for high-pressure piping, such as GTAW/TIG, SMAW, and proper preheat and post-weld heat treatment practices.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of safety protocols, PPE usage, and safe work practices in industrial and high-temperature piping environments.
- Candidates should possess the ability to perform weld inspections, basic non-destructive testing support, and quality documentation to meet project and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess good physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying industrial conditions.
- Candidates should possess effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and report issues promptly.
- Candidates should possess relevant welding certifications from recognized bodies or institutions; prior experience in power plants, refineries, or similar heavy industrial settings is highly beneficial.
