Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Outboard Engine Technician based in Kochi.

The Outboard Engine

Technician will perform day-to-day inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of outboard engines, including mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems. The role involves diagnosing performance issues, conducting routine service tasks, replacing parts, and ensuring engines meet safety and quality standards. The technician will document work performed, maintain service records, manage tools and equipment, and support customers and internal teams with technical guidance.

The position may also include assisting with installations, testing engines after service,



and adhering to company procedures and workplace safety practices.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in outboard engine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, including mechanical and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service documentation, and diagnostic reports.
- Knowledge of marine safety standards, proper use of tools and equipment, and workshop safety practices.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and supervisors, and for documenting service activities clearly.
- Good problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently as well as within a team in an in office environment.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; prior experience as an outboard or marine engine technician is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to company processes, and occasionally work extended hours based on service demands.
