Position : Oracle Business Analyst

Reports To: Business Analyst Manager

The Oracle Business Analyst supports the operations and customer service department on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and other systems.

The role involves investigating, documenting, and understanding Oracle EBS components; gathering business requirements; providing daily production support; participating in system integration and user acceptance testing; and managing system changes.

The analyst also supports Oracle implementation, recommends process improvements, develops validation test plans and end-user documentation, and ensures consistency in system usage across all Banner locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborating with business/department heads to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs.
2. Working with the development team to provide daily support for the Oracle EBS production environment.
3. Participating in system integration testing and user acceptance testing with business users.
4. Researching, designing, configuring, testing, documenting, and managing the implementation of system changes.
5. Managing the impact of transaction and process changes across all business segments/locations.
6. Developing validation test plans, end-user documentation,



and training materials for customizations, upgrades, and patches.
7. Providing expertise for IT projects and Oracle implementation support across Banner Engineering locations.
8. Recommending process and system improvements to assist the business in achieving its goals.
9. Re-engineering existing business system processes to leverage the capabilities of Oracle EBS and other signature applications.
10. Investigating recent modules, patches, and upgrades from Oracle and other providers.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience gathering user requirements and understanding and interpreting requirements specifications.
- 3+ years of experience creating ad-hoc queries using query tools in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- 3+ years of working experience in some of the following EBS modules:Inventory
- Advanced Pricing
- Purchasing
- Order Management (OM)
- Warehouse Management (WMS)
- 3+ years of experience training others on the use of Oracle EBS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the Oracle EBS environment and how features can be applied to Banner processes.
