ABOUT COSMIC BIOTECH

Cosmic Biotech Pvt Ltd is building a current health and wellness brand. We source premium products directly from international manufacturers, rebrand them, and bring them to Indian customers. We're preparing for our first product launch, and you'll join at the ground floor to help build the operations of a brand from day one.

THE ROLE

We're looking for an Operations Manager to build and run the operational engine behind our new brand, from import and compliance to inventory, vendors, and fulfilment. You'll turn a product launch into a reliable, repeatable business. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys setting up systems from scratch, and can keep quality and timelines under control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Import & Supply Chain

- Manage end-to-end import of products: supplier coordination, shipment planning, freight, customs clearance, and documentation
- Work with customs brokers (CHAs), freight forwarders, and logistics partners to keep lead times and costs in check
- Plan inventory and replenishment based on sales forecasts, shelf life, and lead times

Regulatory & Compliance

- Coordinate licences, registrations, and approvals required to import and sell health and wellness products in India (e.g., IEC, FSSAI, GST, and other applicable approvals)
- Ensure labelling, packaging, and claims meet Indian regulatory requirements
- Maintain batch records,



certificates, and documentation for audit-readiness

Rebranding & Packaging Operations

- Coordinate relabelling, repackaging, and rebranding with packaging vendors and printers
- Run quality checks so products meet our brand standards before dispatch
- Manage artwork approvals, timelines, and vendor deliverables with the brand and design teams

Warehousing, Inventory & Fulfilment

- Oversee storage, inventory tracking, and order fulfilment across channels (D2C, marketplaces, distributors)
- Implement expiry management (FEFO), batch traceability, and storage-condition controls for shelf-life-sensitive products
- Reduce damages, stock-outs, and returns

Vendor Management & Cost Control

- Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors for packaging, warehousing, logistics, and services
- Track landed costs, margins, and operating budgets, and find savings without compromising quality

Processes, Reporting & Coordination

- Create SOPs for procurement, import, QC, inventory, and dispatch
- Build dashboards and MIS on inventory, costs, delivery timelines, and operations KPIs
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and leadership to align launches with supply readiness




- Build and manage a small operations team as the brand scales

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

- 3–5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or procurement, ideally in FMCG, healthcare, nutraceuticals, food and beverage, or e-commerce
- Working knowledge of import and export processes, customs documentation, and logistics
- Strong process, vendor management, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and reporting
- High ownership, attention to detail, and a bias for execution
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Food Technology (MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain Management preferred)

GOOD TO HAVE

- Knowledge of FSSAI or other health-product regulations
- Experience with ERP and inventory tools (Tally, Zoho, Unicommerce, or similar)
- Experience with shelf-life-sensitive or temperature-controlled products
- Prior experience launching a brand or product line
- Exposure to international suppliers

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 6–12 MONTHS)

- The initial product line imported, cleared, compliant, and launched on schedule
- Reliable inventory, batch, and expiry tracking in place
- SOPs for import, QC, and fulfilment documented and followed
- Healthy landed costs and consistent on-time delivery
- A scalable operations setup ready for future launches
