Nursing Superintendent

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, qualified, and dedicated Nursing Superintendent to lead and manage the nursing department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring high standards of patient care, maintaining clinical quality and safety, and supervising nursing staff in accordance with hospital policies and applicable healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department and ensure smooth functioning of all nursing units.
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate nursing staff, including nursing supervisors, ward in-charges, and staff nurses.
- Ensure the delivery of secure, effective, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
- Develop nursing duty rosters, manage staffing requirements, and ensure adequate nursing coverage across all shifts.
- Monitor nursing practices, infection prevention protocols, patient safety measures, and clinical standards.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing protocols, statutory requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Conduct regular ward rounds, nursing audits, staff meetings, and performance reviews.
- Identify training needs and organize orientation, continuing education, and professional development programs for nursing staff.
- Handle patient complaints, nursing-related incidents, and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with doctors, department heads, hospital administration, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor nursing documentation,



medication administration, equipment utilization, and maintenance of patient care records.
- Assist in budgeting, resource allocation, inventory control, and effective utilization of nursing supplies.
- Promote teamwork, professional ethics, discipline, and a patient-centered approach throughout the nursing department.

Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing/ GNM or other qualifications as accepted under applicable regulations.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
- - Experience: Minimum 10+ years of overall nursing experience, including at least 2+ years of relevant experience as a Nursing Superintendent in a hospital .

- Previous experience as a Nursing Superintendent, Deputy Nursing Superintendent, Assistant Nursing Superintendent, or Nursing Supervisor is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of nursing administration, infection control, patient safety, and hospital quality standards.
- Ability to manage staff, resolve conflicts, and make effective decisions in a healthcare setting.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
