Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced NPD Manager with strong expertise in New Product Development, drawing interpretation, GD&T;, process development, vendor management, tooling development, costing, and quality documentation. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete product development cycle from design understanding and process development to vendor finalization, PPAP documentation, product inspection, and successful delivery of the developed product.

Key Responsibilities

- Study and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.

- Strong understanding and application of GD&T; (Geometric Dimension& Tolerance).

- Develop and establish manufacturing processesfor new products.

- Prepare and maintain process-related documentationfor NPD activities.

- Prepare and review costingfor new products, including material, process, tooling, and development costs.

- Prepare, review, and coordinate PPAP documentationas per customer requirements.

- Identify, evaluate, and finalize suitable vendorsfor new product development.

- Coordinate with vendors for development, trials, modifications, and timely completion of development activities.

- Manage the design and development of tooling, fixtures, gauges, dies, and other manufacturing aids.

- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for tooling development and validation.

- Conduct/coordinate inspection and validation of final products received from vendorsagainst drawings and specified quality requirements.

- Ensure that dimensional, functional, and quality requirements are met before product acceptance.





- Manage transit and logistics coordinationfor movement of developed products, samples, tooling, and other NPD materials.

- Monitor development timelines and ensure on-time completion of NPD projects.

- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, SCM, and other relevant teams for smooth product development.

- Identify development issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Maintain complete records and documentation related to product development, vendor development, tooling, trials, inspections, and PPAP.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost reduction, process optimization, quality improvement, and manufacturability.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Robust knowledge of Engineering Drawing and interpretation.

- Good understanding of GD&T;

- Well conversant with various ferrous, non-ferrous metals and Polymer substances

- Experience in New Product Development / Product Industrialization.

- Knowledge of process development and process documentation.

- Hands-on experience in product costing and estimation.

- Strong knowledge of PPAP and related quality documentation.

- Experience in vendor identification, evaluation, development, and finalization.

- Knowledge of tooling, gauges, fixtures, dies, and manufacturing processes.

- Experience ininspection at vendors’ end and quality validation.

- Good understanding of supply chain and transit/logistics coordination.

- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

- Good communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

- B.Tech / B.E. – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering
