Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network and VOIP Engineer to join Terex's Global Infrastructure & Operations organization, aligned to the India Centre of Excellence. This role is hands-on and operationally focused, responsible for day-to-day operations, stability, and support of Terex's enterprise network and voice platforms across global locations.

The Network and VOIP Engineer plays a key role in ensuring availability, performance, security, and reliability of network and voice services, supporting technologies including Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, Silver Peak, and 8x8 across LAN, WAN, and WiFi environments. The role operates within a globally integrated, follow-the-sun support model, partnering closely with our Northern Ireland Centre of Excellence and other regions.

Key Responsibilities

Network & VOIP Operations Support

- Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise LAN, WAN, WiFi, and VOIP environments.
- Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure including Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, and Silver Peak platforms.
- Provide operational support for VOIP and cloud-based voice services, including 8x8.
- Monitor network and voice services to ensure availability, performance, and service quality.

Incident, Change & Problem Management

- Act as an escalation point for complex network and voice-related incidents and service disruptions.
- Execute network and VOIP changes through structured change management processes, including validation and post-change review.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or high-impact network and voice issues.
- Work closely with service desk and other resolver teams to restore services efficiently.

LAN, WAN & Wireless Services

- Support routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure across global sites.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and latency issues across LAN, WAN, and WiFi networks.
- Partner with WAN and SDWAN teams to support Silver Peak environments and site connectivity.




- Ensure network designs and configurations align with security and operational standards.

Voice & Collaboration Services

- Support and maintain VoIP and telephony services, including call quality, routing, and user provisioning.
- Partner with collaboration and identity teams to support voice integrations and user access.
- Support incident response and service restoration for voice and communication platforms.

Operational Excellence & Documentation

- Maintain network and VOIP runbooks, standard operating procedures, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve network stability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in on-call or follow-the-sun support rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

Experience

- 6 to 10 years of overall network and communications engineering experience.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale network and VOIP environments.
- Strong operational discipline with experience in incident, change, and problem management.

Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper/MIST, and Meraki networking platforms.
- Experience supporting WAN and SDWAN technologies, including Silver Peak.
- Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, and WiFi architecture and operations.
- Experience supporting VoIP and cloud voice platforms, including 8x8.
- Solid troubleshooting skills across network connectivity, performance, and voice quality.
- Proven experience executing incident management, change management, and RCA.
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for network and voice platforms.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

- Vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, or SDWAN related).
- Experience supporting global or multi-site network environments.
- Exposure to secure networking and compliance-driven environments.
- Experience working in a global, follow-the-sun support model.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based operational processes.
