Mechanical Engineer – Production & Quality Control

M&T; Engineering Equipments is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to manage production activities, monitor fabrication quality, prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), maintain technical documentation, and coordinate machine dispatches.

The ideal candidate should be able to read mechanical drawings, understand fabrication and assembly processes, and ensure that machines are manufactured according to approved designs and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Management: Monitor daily production activities and coordinate fabrication, assembly, and machine preparation on the shop floor.
- Drawing Verification: Ensure machines are fabricated and assembled according to approved mechanical drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
- BOM Preparation: Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) from approved drawings, identify material specifications and quantities, and verify BOM accuracy.
- Material Control: Monitor material issues and consumption for each machine and coordinate with the stores, purchase, and production teams to ensure material availability.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular in-process and final inspections to ensure machine quality and compliance with approved designs.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user manuals, quality inspection reports, and other machine-related documents.
- Dispatch Coordination: Coordinate pre-dispatch inspections,



packing, accessories verification, and dispatch-related documentation.
- Design Coordination: Work with the design and production teams to clarify drawing-related issues and resolve fabrication or assembly discrepancies.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify production and quality issues and support corrective actions to improve manufacturing efficiency and machine quality.

Qualifications
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Freshers and candidates with relevant experience may apply.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings, fabrication, and machine assembly.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks will be an added advantage.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and design basic mechanical components.
- Good documentation, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in both office and shop-floor environments.
